“Each area or room has its own level, arranged in a spiral step-up around the chimney. The difference in levels was fixed by the use of 2-ft beams. Plaster will be sprayed over the light wood structure to provide a continuous surface. This will give a quiet foil to the play of the shades and shadows from the many cantilevered overhangs. Interiors will also be finished in plaster; floors will be hardwood in living areas, vinyl asbestos tile in the kitchen, ceramic tile in the baths. Skylights will be used to give added light to the inner part of the living areas. The house will be air conditioned.”
