Tafuri is an important critic of the late Modern period. This article is an analysis of his criticism of Le Corbusier that includes considerable attention to his Chandigahr project in India. Rudolph is mentioned throughout. Le Corbusier and his work at Chandigahr influenced Rudolph's projects in the 1960s and beyond.
