Now known as Liberal Arts / LARTS; Groundbreaking June 14, 1964 Dedication June 5, 1966; Architects: Desmond and Lord, Inc. and Paul Rudolph; Job Captain: Grattan Gill; Structural Engineer: Congdon, Gurney and Towle, Inc.; Structural Consultant: Sepp Firnkas; Plumbing Engineer: Robert W. This is the first academic building completed on the site and the one most associated with the architect. When it opened it housed most functions of the campus including administration, the library and a large cafeteria. Engineering remained at the original campuses in Fall River and New Bedford.
